I remember an early Saturday Night Live mock advertisement for a television with speakers all over the place, something like 12 speakers in all. They were pointing out the absurdity of Madison Avenue where they think just having more of something should make the item more desirable.

Two blades may be better than one (I don't know, I use an electric). I thought three was getting gimmicky. But now Gillette has a five blade razor.
